I'm okay, really! It's just PMS! Leave me alone :P

Gawd. You know it's going to be a bad day for productivity when as soon as you get to work the manager tells you he needs all employees called in for an extra day. I thought today was going to give me lots of time to work on catching up with the "Scorecards", but instead I barely got all my normal work done!! Most of the day was spent calling employees, and I feel very half-asleep as it is! Bah, humbug! It's miserably cold outside too. I'm just PMS'ing, and crappy work doesn't help. :P

Blah Blah Bitch Bitch :P

Back to work today. Still overtired from the past couple days. It was pay day, which was nice, but I had a bit of a run-in with Shirley and I was already PMS'ing so it didn't help. I can't believe her! She's such a grouchy bitch now!! She doesn't understand a lot of things about payroll, because she only does a small piece of it usually, so she was having trouble trying to figure something out for an employee. She bitched and complained about how stupid it all was, right in front of the employee! They do NOT need to hear her bitching like this! It's really bad for morale! Anyway, I wasn't really sure how to figure out the issue with the employee's paycheque either, because it's Laurie's job, but before I even had a chance to offer to help (I was busy elsewhere), Shirley said out loud, "Well I'm getting no help from Jennifer, so I'm calling Lisa!" How freaking rude! And embarassing too. The employee could tell she was freaking and was starting to get upset himself (understandably - he was shorted on the cheque). I ignored Shirley for the rest of the day. That's what she does - ignores those who she doesn't like or is mad at. Well, I refuse to talk to Shirley. Every time I do I just get upset or yelled at. I don't need that shit at work! And if it keeps up, I'm writing a letter to Rene (the boss). Her attitude is uncalled for. Yeah, that's my rant for the week, sorry you had to listen to it. I feel much better now. :P

Happy New Year!!!

Carrie got us up at 10am today!! Can you believe that?? Way too early, my gawd!! But Amber was sweet enough to make us French toast for breakfast, so that was nice. After eating and doing dishes, we bundled up and headed outside to work on the snow fort Carrie, Amber and Marina had began the day before. It was fun to play in the snow, but unfortunately the snow was getting rather dry which made it difficult to form, so we couldn't add on to the fort. Oh well, it was still fun. But I was really tired all day, and by the time Kok came back (sometime between 2 and 3pm) I was nearly asleep. She drove me home, and I might as well have gone right to bed, I was so wiped!

Crackers, not crackers!

I spent the first part of the day playing around on my new PC and generally relaxing. Kok finally called to see what we were going to do this day. I hated telling her I didn't want to go to Richmond with her that night, like we'd originally planned, but the weather was just too nasty and I didn't want to be out in it at that hour. Even my dad wasn't driving today, and it takes a lot to keep him from driving! She talked to Zod and eventually agreed that it wasn't a good idea to go out there. Instead, she got Amber and a little girl named Marina to come out with her to go to Castle Fun Park. I made a Snow Woman while waiting for them, then we went off for a round of mini golf, bumper cars and ticket-winning. After, we trekked back to their town to get pizza, chicken and go to Carrie's house for New Years. We watched "Bend it like Beckham" (a movie I've been wanting to see for a while now) then watched a few New Year's specials to ring in 2004. Carrie's mom gave us all party crackers (no, not the kind you eat), which were silly little things but it was fun. Kok stayed for a while after, then had to go home to work in the morning. I stayed the night with Carrie and Amber and Marina.. which was fun except for the fact that Amber is very hyper and kept us up until 3am. *sigh* Happy New Year!! :P

Surprise Kok! Bwahahaha!

Today I woke up to find it snowing! Normally this would be a good thing, except.. today was also Kok's surprise birthday party and people were coming to my place from out of town!! Thankfully everyone made it except for Zod. That was very unfortunate, because she would have been SO surprised. I was happy that Crystal and Shawna made it! We hadn't seen them since September! Way too long!! The party went well. Kok was very surprised, and we had a lot of fun. Shawna is such a camera-ham! I can't wait to get some pictures uploaded.

After the party Kok and I went shopping a little, went to Boston Pizza for dinner, then went to see the new Peter Pan movie. It was good! They stayed very near to the book, which was nice. I was offered to spend the night in Chilliwack, but was feeling really tired and unsociable after the movie so I opted to stay home.

1:54 PM
I can't believe how busy I am lately. It seems like I barely have time to breathe! I'm disappointed in my new PC again because for some reason I can't set up an answering machine program on it. It says my modem may not support voice, but I know it does because I *used* to have an answering machine on it!!! Very annoying. Of course, XP won't allow me to install my actual modem drivers because it doesn't like them, so of course I don't get the full functionality of my modem. Instead it thinks I have some generic shit modem. Growl. Have I mentioned how I hate it when computers think they know better? In this case, I hate it when OS's advance themselves so far that they can't use perfectly good old software. And just because they keep advancing shouldn't mean that we consumers have to keep buying new shit all the time. What gives them the right?? Very maddening.

Wow.. the new "The Journal" software allows easy blogging access!! Nifty.. it keeps getting easier and easier to keep my journal online and updated!! So here's a test to see how it works... if it works.

Double time!

It seems things are finally falling into place with my new PC. I got the network working, and even re-worked it because I finally got the Internet to work on the PC, so now it's the main one and my laptop connects to it and the 'net through the network. Nice. What's going to be really fun is that I can play Darkages on BOTH computers at the same time!! That means my characters can interact with one another, and help each other hunt and all that. Ooh yeah, fun times! Work is busy as hell. I think I'd best get back to it...
