I love learning about various spiritual topics, and I guess I'd fall into a "Neo Pagan" grouping if I had to. I love traveling, especially to cities & European places. I'm a writer at heart, and interested in filmmaking.

You know, it's a just a tribute to the writing teams of Buffy & Angel, and big-time to Joss Whedon, that they can take a character like Cordelia Chase and do a complete 360 on her. If you don't know the shows, you won't know what I'm talking about but I'll try to sum it up. Cordelia Chase came into the "Buffy" series as the typical high school bitch. She was the gorgeous, snobby, rich girl that every boy wanted to date and every girl wanted to be, or wanted to stay away from. Either way. She was the one who'd make your life a living hell if she didn't like you.

Slowly over the seasons of Buffy, she began to change. We began to learn more about her and discover depth where there hadn't been any before. We began to like her, and appreciate her bluntness. Then, she moved to LA and joined the cast of "Angel", and we really began to see her mature and grow as a person. She transformed from the classical high school bitch into a powerful heroine. For me, she changed from someone I could hate to someone I could love/appreciate as a character.

So tonight's episode of "Angel" really got to me. Who would have thought that I could cry over Cordelia? I certainly never thought so! I cried when Buffy died. I cried when JOYCE died, and when Tara died. And of course, I cried when Spike died. But Cordelia? Oh yes, I cried for Cordelia. She's right up there on the list of heroes in this story. She not only became a "Scooby", she went on to become one of the leading heroes in the "Angel" cast. Her strength and wisdom shone. She held them together when no one else could, and her last task was just that - to come in and pull Angel together when no one else could.

So Rest in Peace, Cordelia Chase. You were the very symbol of everyone's journey in life - to grow and learn and move beyond faults to become better people. We'll miss you. (And we hope you'll do more ghostly come-backs if Angel goes all boring and grouchy again).

Well, changing email addresses is good for one thing, at least - getting back in touch with people! After sending out my new email addy alert yesterday, I got a response from Greg, of all people! He's a friend of mine from England, who I met when I toured Europe in 2000. I haven't heard from him in ages! Of course, I know that it was my fault (I dropped the ball - he was the last one to email, but I was going through some times and didn't feel like talking to anyone at the time), but I'm still glad he wrote back! Hopefully this time I won't lose touch. *kicks herself in the ass*
