I love learning about various spiritual topics, and I guess I'd fall into a "Neo Pagan" grouping if I had to. I love traveling, especially to cities & European places. I'm a writer at heart, and interested in filmmaking.

Resize

Okay, I realized that the background to this page was taking *way* too long to load on dial-up. Like, crazy long. So I've tried to optimize it as best as possible.. now it's a .jpg file (before it was .gif) and I've set the compression kind of high. It still looks alright on my screen, and the optimizer says it'll only take about 7 seconds to load on a 56k modem. As I don't have dial-up to test that theory on, would anyone reading this please leave a comment and let me know how it loads for them? Also I'd love to know how it looks on your monitor... I know many people visit here that never leave a message - so please don't be shy! ;)

Flash Dance

Happy Mother's Day (early)

Well, not that my mom even has the internet or anything... but I wanted to put a pic in my diary of what I'm giving her this year.. especially because it's my first "published" (ie: hard copy for a purpose besides photo albums) piece of artwork! Yes, photography is an art.. and I'll be the first to admit I'm not an expert in the field, but I do love taking pix and I especially love setting up good, "artsy" shots.. this one, however, made itself. The mountain is just too beautiful to not photograph well! hehe... and because my mother absolutely loves this mountain... here it is - my first published artistic expression (not including the short story that won first place on a gaming site - I suppose technically that's my first published thing.. hehe).

New Layout!

Okay.. as much as I loved the notebook design.. I dug up this great template on another blog and just had to use it! I also took this great picture (background) at Palfy Park today on the way home from work (okay.. yesterday.. gah, it's after midnight!!) and so I thought it would make a great background. This is a perfect Spring design, I think! Maybe I'll get a Summer pic to change to later... then Fall.. and well, you get the idea. I hope it's not too hard to read this! I could muck around with this background some more.. but it seems to work on my screen. And I really hope the sizing of the columns works. I think the designer made it for larger resolutions.. not sure how it'll look on smaller ones!

Let me know what you think of it :)
